Weddings in Florida
Andreas and Sandra arrived from Germany for their destination wedding in Florida. They are world travelers due to their work, so they had some information on the beauty of Florida beaches. Through email, Andreas and Sandra were able to organize with Patricia Slater, a very nice ceremony on Sanibel Island. All the details were arranged by phone and email including the ceremony location, hotels on nearby Fort Myers Beach and great venues for a celebration dinner.
Wedding Day on Sanibel Island
On the wedding day, Andreas and Sandra called me for last minute details. We all realized the weather forecast was showing rain for their 4pm ceremony. So we talked about moving the ceremony to 12 noon to avoid the rain. I called Fort Myers Photographer, Frank Simonetti, our photographer, and he was able to switch the ceremony time on his schedule. The wedding guests were all staying on Fort Myers Beach, so they were ready for an earlier ceremony.
Eloped on Sanibel Island
We met at the Sanibel Lighthouse parking lot where pictures were started. The paths and dirt road leading to the lighthouse made great backdrops for wedding photographs. We walked to the gulf side beach and had a ceremony under beautiful blue skies with puffy white clouds. While we were preparing for the ceremony, the wedding guests enjoyed watching a local fisherman catch and release a baby shark. Couples from around the world choose to elope on Sanibel Island.
After the ceremony the guests toasted the newlyweds while enjoying the beautiful weather. Later in the afternoon they met again for a celebration dinner. Shown here are some of the nice photographs that were created at this destination wedding on Sanibel Island.
